College of the Southwest
The main campus of the College of the Southwest is located on 162 acres of land immediately northwest of the city of Hobbs. The nine major buildings share a common, but distinctive architectural vocabulary: buff colored brick or masonry walls with reddish-color cornice detail at the roofline. The 80,000 square foot campus is both simple and stately; successfully portraying the nature of the region. The College of the Southwest is a four-year, privately supported and independently governed college. Confederate Air Force
New Mexico Wing is another popular attraction in Hobbs. Formed in 1972, the New Mexico Wing was the first of several State Wings to make up the 19th largest air force in the world. The 7,000 members nationally take pride in displaying World War II memorabilia. In addition, they also locate, restore and fly the aircraft as part of their membership activities. Groups are encouraged to visit this collection of vintage flying aircraft. The Museum is located at the Lea County/Hobbs Airport just south of town on Highway 62/180. Harry McAdams State Park

Lea County Cowboy Hall of Fame /Western Heritage Center
Located on the campus of New Mexico Junior College, you will find the Lea County Cowboy Hall of Fame and Western Heritage Center. Not only does the Museum offer history and memorabilia of cowboys, rodeo champs and pioneer women on ranches, but also it has an Art Gallery that signifies western imagination. The history of Lea County is seen from the perspective of Indians, buffalo hunters, soldiers, open-range homesteaders, and settlers.
