Deming is situated in the southwest corner of New Mexico, 60-miles west of Las Cruces. It's is a town full of interesting history and fascinating attractions. The history actually dates back nearly 1,000 years ago, when the Mimbres Indians lived in villages along the Mimbres River and farmed the area. In the 1800's the town had such a rowdy reputation that some outlaws rounded up in Arizona were given one way tickets to Deming. Back in 1850 it was a Butterfield Stage Trail stop.
