Angel Peak Scenic Area
Angel Peak is the home of “sacred ones” to the Navajo people. The area offers scenic overlooks and a short trail. Camping and picnicking are available. Angel peak is located 15 miles south of Bloomfield on Highway 550.

Chaco Culture National Historical Park
The Chaco canyon was a major regional center of the Ancestral Puebloan culture from AD 850 to 1200. The park preserves the impressive remains of Chacoan dwellings. A visitor’s center and campground are onsite. The park is located 75 miles south of Bloomfield on US Hwy 550, with 16 miles of dirt roads. Call 505-786-7014 for more information.

Navajo Lake State Park
A recreation paradise, Navajo Lake State Park offers one hundred fifty miles of beautiful shoreline fed by three rivers: the San Juan, Pine, and the Piedra. The park offers camping, picnicking, boating, swimming, water skiing, marinas, and some of the best river and lake fishing in the Southwest. Salmon Ruins & Heritage Park Museum
The museum showcases prehistoric Anasazi pottery and other fascinating artifacts, such as Navajo and Spanish cultural items. Heritage Park comprises reconstructed dwellings and habitation areas. This wine tasting room is located in Turley, New Mexico near Bloomfield. Enjoy a variety of New Mexican wines to please your palate.
